I’m Tony Guzmán, one of five children raised and educated in Wapato by the late Federico Guzmán and Celia Guzmán.  My family continues to have strong ties to this multicultural, agricultural community.  Having been raised in a bicultural community, I am bilingual and biliterate in both English and Spanish and would be readily and easily accessible to the English and Spanish speaking members of our community. 

These are difficult times for the City of Wapato, as well as for other Eastern Washington communities.  I am enjoying the opportunity to help the City of Wapato as Councilmember, Position 5, be a better place for all of us as a community. 

I have spent numerous years working in both the public and private sector, especially with the poor and indigent population in Eastern Washington.

I will actively pursue ways of improving the City of Wapato.
