I was born in 1969 at Providence Medical Center in Toppenish, Washington,  to Frank Sr. and Carmen Rodriguez.

My mother's parents, Alfredo and Anita Vargas, were migrant workers who came to the valley from Texas. My father's parents, Ruth Martinez Cabrera and Jessie Rodriguez, came from the Big Horn State of Montana. I grew up in Wapato and have lived  here the majority of my life.  I attended Wapato Schools until I  graduated in 1987 from Wapato Senior High. I went off to College at the University of Washington for two years. I returned to live in the Valley in 1990. I met my wife Lidia and got married in 1994. We moved to the Parker Heights area where we lived for six years. We moved into the City of Wapato a little over a year ago.  We have three wonderful children, Shanice, 14, Destinee Shae, 10,  and Stephen Michael, 5. I worked in many places here in the Yakima Valley, from a Farm Laborer to a Collection Agent. I am currently employed as a Personal Banker at Yakima Community Federal Credit Union.  I look forward to connecting the bridge between the city government and the community, and to help bring the changes that are greatly needed in the City of Wapato.
