The Wapato Public Works Department is now accepting applications for the position of Maintenance Worker. The current pay range is $2,985 to $3,628 per month DOE with a benefit package. There will be some required weekend work. Minimum requirements are a high school diploma or GED, able to read and write English language, and to perform basic mathematics calculations. Candidates with municipal maintenance and utility operation experience, and auto mechanic/HVAC/electrician skills are desired. Bilingual in Spanish is encouraged but not required. This position will have duty assignments in Streets, Parks, Cemetery, and Water/Sewer divisions. Pre-employment drug screen and background check required. This position is a non-
exempt union position.

Both meetings are held at City Hall Council Chambers, 205 E Third Street, Wapato, WA. City Council meets the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00 pm.Council Work Sessions are informal and informational. They are just before City Council meetings starting as early as 6:00 pm.
