Maintenance Worker

City of Wapato Job Announcement Wapato Public Works Department - Temporary Maintenance Worker The Wapato Public Works Department is now accepting applications for the position of Temporary Maintenance Worker. The pay range is $10 to $13 per hour. Minimum requirements are a high school diploma or GED, able to read and write English language, and to perform basic mathematics calculations. Candidates with municipal maintenance, or utility operation experience are desired. This position will have duty assignments in Streets, Parks, and Cemetery divisions. This position is a temporary position and the appointment will end by September 30, 2016. There is no employee benefit. Corrections Officer

The Wapato Police Department is now accepting applications to create a hiring list for the position of Entry Level Corrections Officer. Laterals and women are encouraged to apply. Physical Agility Test and Oral Board date(s) will be determined for qualified candidates. The 2016 pay scale range is $15.38 to $18.95 per hour DOE. City Council Meetings

The public is invited and encouraged to all open public meetings of the City Council Regular and Work Session meetings. Both meetings are held at City Hall Council Chambers, 205 E Third Street, Wapato, WA. City Council meets the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00 pm.

Council Work Sessions are informal and informational. They are just before City Council meetings starting as early as 6:00 pm.
