Water Reservoirs Inspection and Cleaning project
This is an every 5 year projects which includes Scuba divers video inspecting the inside of each of the two big blue water tower reservoirs. Along with the inspection the divers also vacuum out any sand which may accumulate in the bottom of the reservoirs. This project was completed mid July 2007.
South Wapato Ave. Street rebuild project
1 First phase is to rebuild the sidewalk handicap ramps at each intersection from 5th Street to 9th Street. Project substantially completed early July 2007. This phase completed as a joint effort by City Crew, and a local contractor.
2 Second phase is to select a contractor to complete the resurfacing of the street.
Track Road Project
Because of right-of-way concerns, primarily with the Railroad, this project is still in the design stage. It is now scheduled for construction in 2008 if all goes well.
Water Meter Replacement Project
This project is about 90 % completed. Although some of the tougher meters are yet to be replaced the project is on track to be completed in early 2008.
Rattlesnake Hills Sign
This informational sign was constructed at the north end of the Community Center. Some additional work to the sign will be completed fall of 2007 along with some needed landscaping. Lots of good area information is available on the sign.
