Swimming Pool
The Olympic Size Wapato swimming pool
The Wapato Swimming Pool is located within the boundary of one of the nicest looking parks in the Lower Yakima Valley. It is Olympic size and as such Wapato has the ability to host a number of seasonal swimming events. Sited next to the city community center and surrounded by park the pool is a ideal place for many activities. For the 2010 Season the city is currently in the process of contracting out the operations of the pool which should help the city finances and enhance the marketing of the pool for increased public enjoyment. As of Mid May 2010 the contract has not been finalized. The Please contact City Hall for additioial information about the Pool being open for the summer.
