Wastewater Division
Wapato Wastewater Treatment Plant
This is a city enterprise fund that provides for all aspects of operating Wapato’s wastewater utility. The division facilities include many miles of collection lines and 4 lift stations. The City also ownes and operates a wastewater treatment plant which is permitted under the direction of Federal EPA, since Wapato is official listed with-in the Yakama Nation Boundary.
Some ongoing projects include:
- Sewer collection line yearly flushing
- Daily water quality lab testing
- Compliance with EPA “NPDES” Permit
- Manage Bio-solids program
- Preparing for permit driven plant update
